KSU Campaign Raises Record-Breaking $265M

Theta Chi Fraternity Pledges $100K to YSU
Monday, July 09, 2012YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- Youngstown State University will name a Kilcawley Center computer lab in honor of Theta Chi fraternity to recognize the alumni of Epsilon Delta chapter who committed to raising $100,000 for renovations at Kilcawley.
An event celebrating the naming of the Theta Chi Computer Lab, on the second floor of Kilcawley Student Center, is set for 10 a.m. July 21. Theta Chi was active on the YSU campus from 1956 through 2010 and is the first fraternity to have a room on campus named in its honor.
AVI Employees Teach Ohio Business Week Students
Tuesday, June 26, 2012YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- Two employees with AVI Food Systems, Warren, spent Monday evening talking to high school students participating in the Ohio Business Week summer camp at Youngstown State University about the elements of business costs .
“We’re trying to tell them about costs related to profit,” said Ronald Fularz, an accounts payable specialist with AVI. “We wanted them to get an idea of the different types of costs.”
YSU Hosts Ohio Business Week

YSU Announces Greene's Appointment as Trustee
Thursday, June 21, 2012YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- Youngstown State University officially announced Wednesday the appointment of James B. Greene of Canfield, a retired Compco Industries executive, to a nine-year term on the Youngstown State University Board of Trustees. Greene was appointed last Friday by Ohio Gov. John R. Kasich.
Greene replaces Millicent S. Counts, whose term on the board has expired. His term began June 15 and continues through April 30, 2021.
