Tri-State 1st Banc Declares 5¢ Dividends
Wednesday, November 21, 2012EAST LIVERPOOL, Ohio -- Directors of Tri-State 1st Banc Inc., parent of 1st National Community Bank, have declared a fourth-quarter dividend of 5 cents per share and a special dividend of 5 cents per share on common stock and preferred Series A stock.
The dividends will be paid Dec. 17 to shareholders of record Nov. 26. Both dividends are the same amount as paid in as the fourth-quarter 2011 and an increase of 3 cents per share from the fourth quarter of 2010. Shareholders have received a dividend each year since 1990, directors say.
Consumer Reports Publishes Naughty & Nice List

YONKERS, N.Y. -- Who in the corporate world has been naughty and nice? According to Consumer Reports third annual Naughty & Nice List of company policies and practices, Ticketmaster doesn't always play fair while PNC Bank takes care of its customers.
The annual list is not an overall rating on a company. Instead, it's a thumbs-up or thumbs-down on specific policies or practices, the magazine editors say. Consumer Reports also acknowledges that there are companies not on its list that might have similar policies.
Shepherd of Valley Honors 3 with Stambaugh Awards

“I’m starting to see an uptick but it’s more of a gradual uptick in the market [that] could be based on a lot of things,” says Horvath, broker associate with commercial services at Northwood Realty Services, Poland. Horvath reports demand for office space is gaining strength.
House Sales Up in Mahoning During October
Tuesday, November 20, 2012YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Sales of houses in Mahoning County last month were up nearly 10% from October 2011 while remaining steady in Trumbull County, monthly reports show.
In Mahoning County 196 units were sold in October, up 9.5% from 179 sold in October 2011. In Trumbull County last month, 144 units were sold, matching the number sold in October 2011. Columbiana County posted 67 units sold in October, up from 61 a year earlier.
CCPA Helps Marathon Oil, CNX Gas Expand
Tuesday, November 20, 2012EAST LIVERPOOL, Ohio – The Columbiana County Port Authority took another step Monday in helping Marathon Oil Corp. build a transfer station for semi trucks to park as they await to transfer their cargos in the Wellsville Intermodal Facility to barges on the Ohio River.
It also amended its lease agreement with CNX Gas Co. LLC, a subsidiary of Consol Energy, allowing it to expand its offices in World Trade Park just outside Leetonia.
First Niles to Pay Dividend, Repurchase 3% of Its Shares
