House Sales Up in Mahoning During October
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Sales of houses in Mahoning County last month were up nearly 10% from October 2011 while remaining steady in Trumbull County, monthly reports show.
In Mahoning County 196 units were sold in October, up 9.5% from 179 sold in October 2011. In Trumbull County last month, 144 units were sold, matching the number sold in October 2011. Columbiana County posted 67 units sold in October, up from 61 a year earlier.
The average sale price in Mahoning County rose 18.1% over the year, from $85,084 in October 2011 to $100,455 last month. Trumbull’s average sale price also increased over the year, to $84,887 last month from $75,152 a year earlier, a 13% gain. Meanwhile, the average sale price in Columbiana County dropped over the year, from $94,274 in October 2011 to $88,732 last month.
