Simon Roofing Grows Corporate HQ Staff
Friday, February 13, 2015BOARDMAN, Ohio -- Simon Roofing announced several hires and promotions to its staff this week. All of the hires will operate out of the corporate offices here.
Among the additions for the national manufacturer and installer of commercial roofing systems is Steve Morse, SR PreVision roof analyst. Morse, who will be responsible for roof inspections and analyses for commercial and government buildings, worked as facility manager for the Federal Bureau of Prisons before joining Simon.
Mancini's 'Boom Boom Room' to Debut Feb. 19

The show will cover a range of topics from both the boxing and entertainment industries, according to a news release announcing the show.

FirstEnergy Spends $115M on Western Pa. Upgrades
Thursday, February 12, 2015AKRON, Ohio -- FirstEnergy Corp. spent more than $115 million in 2014 in its Pennsylvania Power service area on infrastructure projects and other work designed to help reduce the number and duration of power outages, the company reports. More than $76 million of the total has been spent on transmission-related projects owned by American Transmission Systems Incorporated, a FirstEnergy transmission company.
January VLT Revenue Down 6.2% at Austintown Racino
Tuesday, February 10, 2015YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Revenue from video lottery terminals at Hollywood Gaming at Mahoning Valley Race Course was down 6.2% in January compared to December, about twice as much as the statewide drop.
In January, according to the Ohio Lottery Commission, which oversees VLT operations in the state, bettors played credits worth $64.6 million in January at the Austintown racino, down from $68.9 million in December. The racino opened in September. To date, wagers at Mahoning Valley have totaled $333.1 million.
