Three New Permits Issued for Columbiana County
Friday, September 06, 2013YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- The Ohio Department of Natural Resources last week issued 13 new permits for horizontal wells in the Utica shale, three of which are in Columbiana County.
ODNR released three permits to Atlas Noble LLC, based in Philadelphia, to drill wells at the Firestone Homestead pad in Unity Township. These are the first three permits issued to the company in Columbiana County, records show.
The state agency also issued new permits to Chesapeake Energy for four horizontal wells in Carroll County, all on the Shaw property in Lee Township.

Fifth Season Prepares to Open in Mineral Ridge
Friday, September 06, 2013MINERAL RIDGE, Ohio -- Owners of the Fifth Season Restaurant say they are looking to create the same atmosphere in the restaurant’s new home on Route 46 as its original Austintown site.
After closing the Mahoning Avenue Fifth Season restaurant five weeks ago, the owners say the new restaurant could open as soon as next week in its new location, in the former T&G Lounge, which is attached to the Fifth Season Banquet Center here. The banquet center opened about five years ago. The restaurant opened in its original location in 2002.

Joanie’s Promise Night is free and open to uninsured and underinsured women ages 40 to 64 who meet financial eligibility requirements. This event is one of several that seek to fulfill Joanie’s Promise to provide breast care services to every woman who needs them, HMHP says.

400 Volunteers Ready for Friday's 'Day of Caring'

YSU Breaks Ground for Veterans Resource Center

Nunziato, today an attorney, recalled those painful memories during the ceremonies to break ground for the Veterans Resource Center at Youngstown State University, something he and his campaign co-chairmen have been working for since the last year of David Sweet’s presidency. Nunziato’s wounds continue to hamper his mobility.
