Friday, August 30, 2013BOARDMAN, Ohio -- U.S. Rep. Bill Johnson, R-6 Ohio, joined employees, family and friends of Valley Office Solutions Inc. Thursday as they celebrated a milestone, three decades in business.
"I don't have a formula," laughs Valley Office President Steve Blakeman, reflecting on the last 30 years. "In fact, when we started, I didn't even have a plan."

Regional Chamber VP Planey Leaving for NY Banking Job
Thursday, August 29, 2013YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Eric Planey, who joined the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber four years ago to serve as vice president for international business attraction, is leaving to take a position in New York in the international banking industry.
Planey, a native of Youngstown, will leave the chamber in mid-September to take the position of vice president and client executive for the Leveraged Finance & Financial Sponsors Group of Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corp., according to a press release the chamber issued minutes ago.
Guesman Pleads Guilty in D&L Dumping Case
Thursday, August 29, 2013CLEVELAND – The former employee of Hardrock Excavating Co. who was caught illegally dumping drilling waste into a sewer that ended up contaminating portions of the Mahoning River pleaded guilty Thursday to one count of violating the Clean Water Act.
Michael Guesman, 34, changed his plea to guilty in U.S. District Court in Cleveland per an agreement reached with prosecutors. Details of the plea agreement were not available.
Sentencing is scheduled for Nov. 11, according to court papers.
