After a brief talk, Warner Sperling will screen her award-winning 2008 documentary “The Brothers Warner."
A question-and-answer session will follow, says Leann Rich, manager of education and external relations at the society.
Brazilian Business Faculty, Students Visit YSU

Ohioans Asked for Views on Outdoor Recreation

133 Pipeline Projects in Ohio, Report Finds
Saturday, September 14, 2013YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- A Columbus law firm tracking developments in Ohio’s emerging oil and gas industry reports a total of 133 pipeline projects are in the planning stages or underway in the state. The industry report by the Benesch firm was released Friday; it is the latest in quarterly industry summaries published by the firm.
Of the 133 pipeline projects, MarkWest Energy Partners of Denver has 52, Cardinal Gas Services 50 and Utica East Ohio Midstream 14, according to the report.
Columbiana Chamber Sets Pipeline Information Meeting
Saturday, September 14, 2013COLUMBIANA, Ohio -- The Columbiana Area Chamber of Commerce will host a free community informational meeting on gas and oil pipeline development at 7 p.m. Oct. 14 in the Crestview Performing Center for the Arts, April D. Brinker announced Thursday.
Brinker is executive director of the chamber.
The purpose is to update residents and businesses in Columbiana and Fairfield Township on the progress of pipeline development from state and local officials.
Energy Execs Still Hopeful About Utica's Northern Tier
Saturday, September 14, 2013YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- Top executives in the oil and gas industry say while the southern tier of eastern Ohio's Utica shale appears to be the most lucrative and drawing the most attention from producers, it doesn't mean the northern portion of the play – Mahoning and Trumbull counties, for example -- won't develop over time.
"We have three wells off two pads in Mahoning County," said Harry Schurr, general manager of Consol Energy and Hess Corp.'s Utica joint venture. "We are still planning to put those into pipeline and flowing them into market."
