Crandall Medical Center to Open Dementia Wing Friday
Thursday, October 25, 2012SEBRING, Ohio – A ribbon-cutting is set for Friday at the new Memory Lane wing at Crandall Medical Center and Copeland Oaks. A public open house will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.
“With Memory Lane’s grand opening, Copeland Oaks fills a community need for an ever growing dementia and Alzheimer’s population," said Phil Braisted, executive director of Copeland Oaks. "Our new wing will enable us to provide state-of-the-art programs and services to those in our community who are dealing with dementia or memory loss.
Youngstown YMCA Health Fair Set for Wednesday
Friday, October 19, 2012YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- More than 70 booths will be set up Wednesday at the Central YMCA for its annual health fair. The fair promotes healthful lifestyles, offers free screenings, administers flu shots and offers blood work.
The fair is scheduled for 7 a.m. to 1 p.m., said fitness director Maureen Horvath.
This year's event, sponsored by WellCare Health Plans, offers a variety of services from American Red Cross, Akron Children’s Hospital, Humility of Mary Health Partners, Belmont Pines Hospital, Help Hotline Crisis Center, Mammovan, Alzheimer’s Network, among others.
