YBI, TECHudson Enter into Formal Partnership

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Youngstown Business Incubator and The Entrepreneurial Center of Hudson, or TECHudson, have signed what they describe as a first-of-its kind partnership in northeastern Ohio, a partnership designed to spur innovation and technological development.
"We'll be able to reach out to all entrepreneurs across 18 counties in northeast Ohio," says Jim Phipps, executive director of TECHudson.
City Considers Grant for Iron City Wood Products
Tuesday, March 20, 2012YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – City Council will consider an $80,000 water/wastewater grant for Iron City Wood Products Inc. to assist with the company’s planned move to the city.
The wood products company, now located on Wilson Avenue in Campbell, specializes in pallets. it plans to spend $900,000 to relocate and expand its operations to the Ross Industrial Park on Albert Street. The project will result in the relocation of 43 employees and the creation of 14 full-time jobs, according to legislation council members will consider Wednesday.

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Penn National Gaming Inc. says it can have its proposed Austintown racino up and running in 18 months -- but 18 months from when remains the unanswered question.
An agreement announced Friday between Penn National and the state that helps pave the way for the company to relocate its two Ohio racetracks, including its Beulah Park track from the Columbus suburb of Grove City to Austintown, is "a step in the process but it's a pretty significant step in the process," said Penn National's Ohio spokesman, Bob Tenenbaum.

YBI to Align Operations with New Hudson Incubator

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Youngstown Business Incubator and The Entrepreneurial Center of Hudson (TECHudson) will formalize an agreement that aligns the business operations of the two incubators with a signing ceremony Monday afternoon.
The first-of-its-kind agreement will allow clients of both incubators to receive significant operational support and universal business methodologies for growth, YBI announced Thursday.
