F.N.B. Buys BCSB Bancorp, Expands Maryland Presence
Friday, June 14, 2013HERMITAGE, Pa. – F.N.B. Corp., parent of First National Bank of Pennsylvania, announced today that it has entered a definitive agreement to acquire BCSB Bancorp. Inc., parent of Baltimore County Savings Bank, in an all-stock transaction valued at $79 million.
That translates to approximately $23.77 a share based on the closing price Thursday of F.N.B. BCSB has 3.19 million shares outstanding. F.N.B. closed at $11.43, up 16 cents from Wednesday.

Test Driving Diesel Cruze; Sales Begin in Some Markets
Friday, June 14, 2013LORDSTOWN, Ohio -- General Motors Co. officially re-entered the diesel passenger car market Thursday, as the first diesel-powered Chevrolet Cruzes were made available for retail sale in select markets across the country.
"This car is pretty special," said Chris Depolo, GM's lead development engineer for compact cars, shortly as he joined Business Journal reporters on a test drive near GM's Lordstown Complex, where the vehicle is manufactured. "It's got a 46 miles per gallon highway fuel economy label -- that's higher than any non-hybrid car you can buy in the United States."
Former ITAM Club Could Become Banquet Center
Friday, June 14, 2013YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- In less than three months, the shuttered ITAM American Club, 113 South Meridian Road, could reopen as a banquet center and catering business, its prospective owner says.
John Zeoli said he plans to renovate the 12,500-square-foot building and transform it into a banquet center and lounge that would be suitable for weddings and other catered events.
"It's a heck of a building," Zeoli said after he presented his project before the Youngstown Initiative Committee Thursday. "I'd hate to see Youngstown lose it."

AST2 in 3-D Manufacturing Show at McDonough
Friday, June 14, 2013YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- Applied Systems & Technology Transfer LLC, better known as AST2, is participating in the summer art show in the McDonough Museum of Art, "Re-shaping Ideas, Ingenuity in 3D Technology," at Youngstown State University.
The show, which begins today and runs through Aug. 2, will focus on additive manufacturing and how this innovative technology is transforming industry as well as empowering individuals to design and make their own creations using 3-D printing.
Hours are 11 a.m.to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
Ohio Historical Marker to be Placed at Tyler Center
Friday, June 14, 2013YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- An Ohio historical marker will be added to downtown Youngstown Tuesday to recognize the significance of Harry Burt’s Good Humor Ice Cream Bar and the Ross Radio Co.
A dedication ceremony is planned for 5 p.m. in front of the Tyler Mahoning Valley History Center on West Federal Street as part of the annual meeting of the Mahoning Valley Historical Society.
The marker is intended to remind visitors and passers-by of the significance of the landmark building that has become the Tyler Mahoning Valley History Center, said executive director Bill Lawson.
