Kasich, Exterran CEO Here Today for Plant Event
Tuesday, May 07, 2013YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- Gov. John R. Kasich will headline today’s ribbon-cutting ceremony at Exterran Energy Solution’s $13.2 million oil and natural gas equipment fabrication facility here. The press event begins at 11:45 a.m. at the plant, 2572 Salt Springs Road.
The president and CEO of Exterran, Brad Childers will join Kasich on the podium as will the mayor of Youngstown, Charles Sammarone. Also speaking will be representatives of three economic development agencies that helped secure the project, the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber, Team Northeast Ohio and JobsOhio.
Compass, Community Solutions to Merge July 1
Tuesday, May 07, 2013YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Compass Family & Community Services and Community Solutions Association are merging, the organizations announced Monday, which will enable “a broadening of services in multiple sites within the Mahoning Valley.”
The combined organization will be called Compass Family & Community Services. Joe Caruso, president and CEO of Compass, will retain his leadership role when the merger takes effect July 1.
Pat Benatar Concert to ‘Jump Start’ Panerathon

Letter Carriers Join Stamp Out Hunger Drive

The effort provides food to food banks and pantries across the United States that rely heavily on donations.
