CarePatrol Opens Office in Poland

POLAND, Ohio -- CarePatrol, a franchise that assists seniors and their families with finding the safest care options for their loved ones, has opened its doors here. The free community service helps connect them with assisted living, memory care, in-home care services and independent living.
CarePatrol was started by a social worker in Arizona more than 21 years ago and now operates in multiple states. The new office’s service area includes Mahoning, Trumbull, Columbiana, Portage, Summit and Stark counties.
Mercy Health Opens Heart Valve Clinic at St. E's

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- Mercy Health Youngstown, formerly Humility of Mary Health Partners, recently opened a heart valve clinic at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital.
The clinic, on the first floor of the hospital and easily accessible from its main entrance, was developed after a review of echocardiograms suggested that a high percentage of patients in the Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties have severe valvular heart disease.
Ankle & Foot Care Donates Shoes to Salvation Army

BOARDMAN, Ohio -- Since the beginning of November, all 19 Ankle & Foot Care Centers have been collecting shoes to donate to the Salvation Army and on Wednesday more than 500 pairs were given to the charity. The chain of podiatric office also collected socks to donate.
“People don't always have the resources to get decent shoes, so we're trying to not only care for their feet medically, but to give them the necessary shoes and socks,” Ankle & Foot Care operations manager Elizabeth Emch said.

Niles Naturopatholist Launches 100-Day Challenge

NILES, Ohio -- Dr. Danielle MacDuff, a naturopatholigst with Phoenix House Wellness Center and DC Chiropractic in Warren, will launch a 100-day online challenge for those looking to improve their health in the new year.
The program is broken into three 30-day periods and a 10-day period. The longer periods will focus on immune system improvement, detoxing the body and repairing body damage, while the final segment will show participants how to implement what was learned during the program.
