Wednesday, November 03, 2004YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- Saleationships, a three-month-old portfolio company of the Youngstown Business Incubator, will receive the State of Ohio's Emerging Technology Award in recognition of ODT3, the firm's browser-based software product for hospitals and medical practices. The award will be presented in Cincinnati Nov. 8 by Gov. Bob Taft.ODT3 is the nation's first software application to fully manage and track outpatient diagnostic testing, therapy, rehabilitation and other medically related services, according to a news release from the incubator.

Wednesday, November 03, 2004COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Hunters harvested a preliminary total of 1,555 wild turkeys during Ohio's ninth annual fall turkey gun-hunting season that was open in 36 counties Oct. 9 to24, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources Division of Wildlife. The preliminary figure is a decrease from last year's preliminary gun-season total of 1,853 birds.Coshocton County posted the largest number of wild turkey kills during the period at 80, followed by Ashtabula County with 75. Columbiana County recorded 46.

Wednesday, November 03, 2004DETROIT -- General Motors dealers sold 346,058 new cars and trucks in October, down 5% compared to year-ago sales, officials announced earlier today. GM's truck sales (210,996 units) were down 4% and car sales (135,062 units) were down 5%. "GM's October sales results were not as strong as we had expected, but not entirely surprising given our exceptionally strong sales in September," said John Smith, group vice president GM North America Vehicle Sales, Service and Marketing.
