Timken To Receive $39.7 Million Under Anti-Dumping Law

Payments are expected to be received this year and will be used for general corporate purposes and to reduce debt. The payments include $6.5 million related to the Torrington bearing business acquired by Timken in February 2003, according to James W. Griffith, president and chief executive officer.The act provides for distribution of monies collected by U.S.

Monday, December 06, 2004WARRENDALE, Pa. -- Hospitals in western Pennsylvania experienced an increase in average net operating margins for hospitals for fiscal year 2004, but at the same time, more than a third of the reporting hospitals reported negative operating margins, according to the year-end financial report from the Hospital Council of Western Pennsylvania.The report, called the Flash Survey, tracks financial indicators for 56 hospitals.

Monday, December 06, 2004ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Online consumers spent $8.8 billion overall, excluding travel, in November, marking a 19% jump over the $7.4 billion spent online in November 2003 and a 62% increase from the $5.5 billion that consumers spent online during the 2002 holiday season, according to the 2004 eSpending report from Goldman Sachs & Co., Harris Interactive and Nielsen//NetRatings. Adult consumers spent the most on apparel/clothing, totaling $1.5 billion, the report found.

Sunday, December 05, 2004"BOWLING GREEN, Ohio -- Sky Financial Group Inc. completed the acquisition of Prospect Bancshares Inc., Worthington, Ohio, and its wholly-owned subsidiary, Prospect Bank, effective Nov. 30. Prospect Bank merged with Sky Financial Group's subsidiary, Sky Bank, at the close of business Dec. 3, and Prospect Bank converted to Sky Bank's name, products and operating systems this past weekend.The acquisition increases Sky's asset size to $15 billion.

Parker Acquires Advanced Products Co.
