Thursday challenged the company to open its books and prove that it has suffered losses every year since 1997.The guild has been on strike since Nov. 16.Claiming losses, a shrinking circulation and advertising revenues, The Vindicator has said it cannot afford pay raises and other economic benefits but still has offered reporters and copy editors 1% per year raises over three years.

Thursday, December 02, 2004DETROIT -- General Motors Corp. announced yesterday that 452 Chevrolet Cobalts, the new vehicle now in production at GM's Lordstown complex, were sold in November.Last month's sales were the first-ever for GM's new small car, which is designed to attract high-end buyers to the small-car market and compete directly with Honda, Toyota and Volkswagen.Officials at the Lordstown plant reported two weeks ago that vehicles were being shipped to dealers.

Moffie Wednesday pleaded not guilty to federal charges that he and an associate defrauded Bank One of more than $1.4 million.Moffie and Dale M. Delgado were arraigned at U.S. District Court here on four criminal counts related to conspiracy to commit bank fraud and bank fraud. Both entered pleas of not guilty and bond was set at $100,000 by Magistrate Judge Nancy A Vecchiarelli.Moffie filed for personal bankruptcy last year as well as in 1989.
