No doubt you've heard that the average executive needs a month of job-hunting for every $10,000 in annual salary. That's a seven-month search if you're making $70,000 a year. Pretty scary! Fortunately, this myth isn't true. By using certain techniques, it's possible for senior executives and managers to snare new positions within two to six weeks. If you want to stand head and shoulders above the competition, consider applying two strategies that are relatively unknown to the majority of job hunters.

"I'm hoping that this will help us with our self-image."With entertainment provided by the Chaney High School Chorale and the Plazateer Marching Band, city leaders hailed the reopening of Federal Street to vehicular traffic.

Hooters Air Lands at Pittsburgh Airport

Hooters Air flights will begin offering nonstop jet service between Pittsburgh and Myrtle Beach, S.C., Feb. 10, 2005 -- just in time for the Myrtle Beach golf season, Allegheny County Airport Authority officials announced yesterday. Some time ago, Western Reserve Port Authority officials were courting the airline in the hope similar service could be offered at the Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport, but those efforts failed to come to fruition.

Tuesday, December 07, 2004"COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Ohio's Office of Consumer Affairs issued a warning today that UniSource Financial Data Management purportedly operating out of a fictitious Akron address is attempting to place ads claiming that they can assist consumers in obtaining credit and mortgage loans. "UniSource has falsely claimed that it is licensed to conduct such business in Ohio, and has provided a nonexistent address for its Akron office location," said F. Scott O'Donnell, state superintendent of financial institutions.

Tuesday, December 07, 2004"WARREN, Ohio -- The International Steel Group, Richfield, Ohio, will begin a 10-year, $13 million capital improvement project to upgrade and modernize its coke-making facility in Warren Township as a result of a new agreement with the Warren City Schools Board of Education, officials announced recently. The agreement provides for a 100% exemption of new real and personal property taxes arising from the capital improvements made at the plant.In return, ISG will make payments in lieu of tax to the school district equal to 25% of the tax that would have been due if there was no exemption.
