Ohio to Host Nanotechnology Summit

Congressman Returns Mid-Term Pay Increase
Tuesday, February 01, 2005"WASHINGTON -- U.S. Rep. Ted Strickland (D-Ohio 6th) yesterday received notification that he returned $8,648.88 to the U.S. Treasury last year as a result of not accepting the mid-term Congressional pay increase and paying the full cost of his own health insurance, according to a news release from the congressman's office.In January 2004, members received an automatic annual salary adjustment of 2.2%. Since first being elected to office, Strickland has consistently voted against and returned to the U.S. Treasury mid-term pay raises, the release said.

Drugstore chain.
