World's Largest Internet Services Business Opens Office
Tuesday, March 15, 2005"CANFIELD, Ohio -- WSI, an Internet services, consulting, and education company headquartered in Toronto, recently opened an office here. The office will be run by certified Internet consultant Gene Bonanno. The office will offer e-business products and services as well as online learning management systems, video e-mail and Web conferencing. Bonanno has more than 23 years of experience in the Information Technology industry. Recent responsibilities include managing IBM's ATM Banking Practice and acting as chief technology officer for a long distance learning company.
Shepherd of the Valley to Buy High/Low Beds
Tuesday, March 15, 2005"BOARDMAN, Ohio -- Four charitable grants to Shepherd's Foundation totaling $17,840 will be used toward the purchase of the final 25 High/Low beds for Shepherd of the Valley-Boardman. The project began in 1998 with a goal of acquiring a total of 70 beds. The four grants, plus donations from families and friends and proceeds from the annual golf benefit, enabled Shepherd's Foundation to purchase the final 25 beds that Boardman requested."The beds are a great safety measure for our residents and employees," said Rich Limongi, associate director at the Boardman facility.
Real Living Volpini Realty Group Acquires Realty One Office
Tuesday, March 15, 2005"POLAND, Ohio -- Real Living Volpini Realty Group, owned by Rick Volpini, recently acquired Realty One, Real Living's office in Trumbull County, thus doubling Volpini Group's business.Last February, Rick and Marisa Volpini opened Volpini Realty Group on Western Reserve Road here. Soon after, they joined Real Living as an independently owned network partner. "Now with the merger and acquisition of the Trumbull County office, we have two offices and twice the number of agents and staff," Volpini said.
CityScenes Photo Competition Begins
Tuesday, March 15, 2005YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- The second annual CityScenes photography competition, co-sponsored by Youngstown State University and the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber, is accepting entries through Aug. 5, organizers announced recently. This year's theme is "Places and Spaces" and emphasizes community pride.The competition is open to professional, non-professional and high school student photographers. College students may enter as non-professionals. Winning entries will be displayed in the Rose Marie Smith Gallery on the second floor of Tod Hall from Sept. 15 until Sept. 1, 2006.
Dragan Vukadinovic to Lecture at Mount Union College

Over the past 19 years, Vukadinovic has created car designs that have gained international success. One of his most recognized designs is the 1995-1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse. The top seller in its segment and popular for its exterior styling, the car was made the "star" of the original The Fast and the Furious movie. Vehicle Sales Rolling Right Along
Tuesday, March 15, 2005LIBERTY -- Sales of new and used vehicles by dealers in Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties is taking a turn for the better so far this year, according to a report from the Automobile Dealers Association of Eastern Ohio. Total sales are up by 457 units over January and February of 2004.The biggest gain comes in the used car category, with 3,046 units sold year-to-date compared with 2,798 for the two-month period last year.
20% of Warren/Youngstown Employers Plan to Hire
Tuesday, March 15, 2005WARREN, Ohio --Warren/Youngstown area employers expect to hire at a healthy pace during the second quarter of 2005, according to the Manpower Employment Outlook Survey released this morning.From April to June, 20% of the companies interviewed plan to hire more employees, while none expect to reduce their payrolls, said Dennis Yurco, Manpower spokesperson at the office here.Another 80% expect to maintain their current staff levels."Hiring intentions in the Warren/Youngstown area are similar to those reported in the first quarter when 23% of the companies interviewed intended to add staff, and 3
