Warren Rotary to Hold 'Slice of the Valley'
Monday, November 17, 2014WARREN, Ohio -- The Warren Rotary Club is hosting “Slice of the Valley: First Annual Valley Pizza Challenge” from 4:30 to 8 p.m. Jan. 17 at the Eastwood Expo Center in Niles. Judges and those who attend will vote for the best pizza in the Valley.
Fundraising Professionals Honor Area Philanthropists
Friday, November 14, 2014BOARDMAN, Ohio -- The Association of Fundraising Professionals Mahoning-Shenango Chapter today honored individuals and organizations who have given their time and treasure to philanthropic endeavors.
The event, at Antone’s Banquet Center, coincides with the 24th observance of National Philanthropy Day, which is celebrated annually on Nov. 15.
“Philanthropy is vital to our local charities and agencies and the well-being of our communities,” says Lynn Wyant, co-chairman of the local chapter’s event and director of developoment for the Rescue Mission of the Mahoning Valley.

Clocks Made in Trumbull on Exhibit at Tyler Center
Thursday, November 13, 2014YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- The Youngstown Foundation Community History Gallery at the Tyler Mahoning Valley History Center will host several exhibits on loan from various community partners, the first of which is “Trumbull County Clocks.”
Among the partners are history societies, civic organizations, artists and collectors.
Keynote Media Launches Marketing Sweepstakes
Wednesday, November 12, 2014YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- Keynote Media Group of Youngstown today launched its “Great 2015 Marketing Makeover Sweepstakes,” a contest that will run on Facebook through Dec. 31 (CLICK HERE).
The sweepstakes is open to all local companies and nonprofits. The grand prize is a 30-second video production from Keynote, a $250 printing credit from City Printing and 500 full-color business card magnets from Sherman Creative Promotions. The value of the prizes is $3,850, Keynote said.
