First National Bank Offers Mobile App
Friday, December 21, 2012HERMITAGE, Pa. -- First National Bank of Pennsylvania has introduced a free app that allows the 30,000 users of its Mobile Banking service to deposit checks by taking pictures of the front and back of a check, Vincent J. Delie Jr. announced Thursday.
Delie is president and CEO of the bank. “We’re one of a select number of banks to offer the service,” he said.
The bank introduced Mobile Banking last June.
Ohio, West Virginia Collaborate to Aid RG Steel Workers
Friday, December 21, 2012YOUNGSTOWN – The Democratic governor of West Virginia and the Republican governor of Ohio announced a collaborative agreement Thursday with the U.S. Department of Labor to provide assistance with health insurance premium payments to dislocated RG Steel workers in Ohio.
The Labor Department awarded WorkForce West Virginia a $1.2 million grant in November to assist 500 dislocated Ohio RG Steel workers with health insurance premium payments. RG Steel operated a mill in Warren before it filed for bankruptcy in late May.
Ryan Add to Defense Bill Provides Land to Lordstown

Tim Ryan, D-17 Ohio. The village would receive the land at no cost with an understanding that the land always be used for public interests.
Dominion, Caiman Form $1.5B JV for Utica Midstream
Thursday, December 20, 2012RICHMOND, Va. -- Two experienced midstream companies, Dominion and Caiman Energy II LLC today announced they are forming a $1.5 billion joint venture to provide midstream services to natural gas producers operating in the Utica shale in Ohio and portions of Pennsylvania. The companies expect to close on the joint venture by the end of the year.
Study: Ohio, PA Gain New Jobs from Shale Industry
Thursday, December 20, 2012WASHINGTON -- The state of Ohio is projected to gain 143,600 new jobs by 2020 from the emerging oil and gas industry, finds a new study commissioned by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, and conducted by the IHS energy research firm (READ RELATED STORY).
Currently the industry supports 38,000 jobs in Ohio, according to the report, released Wednesday by the chamber's Institute for 21st Century Energy.
