Companies Take Tutorial on Oil and Gas Certification
Wednesday, April 10, 2013BOARDMAN, Ohio – David Hughes can't understand why a two-day introductory course on how companies go about obtaining the American Petroleum Institute's certification to do business with the oil and gas industry wasn't packed.
"Right now is the time to get in on this," said Hughes, president of Specialty Fab Inc. in North Lima. "A lot of people who are going to try to get into this work later are going to find out that they're nine months to a year behind because they weren't here."

Treasury, Delphi Salaried Retirees to Meet
Wednesday, April 10, 2013WASHINGTON – Representatives of the U.S. Department of the Treasury and the Delphi Salaried Retirees Association will meet to discuss and pursue efforts to restore the retirees’ pensions and benefits, U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown announced Tuesday.
In a letter sent last month to Treasury Secretary Jacob Lew, Brown urged Lew to review the proposal submitted by the Delphi retirees group to pursue other solutions to ensure retirees’ receive the benefits they earned but were lost through the bankruptcy of General Motors.
Working Women Observe ‘Equal Pay Day’

The gap is even wider for women of color; over time this loss adds up to $9,575 per year and $434,000 in a lifetime.

F.N.B. Completes Acquisition of Maryland Bank
Tuesday, April 09, 2013HERMITAGE, Pa. – F.N.B. Corp., parent of First National Bank of Pennsylvania, has completed its acquisition of Annapolis Bancorp Inc., holding company of BankAnnapolis, thereby adding eight branches in Anne Arundel and Queen Anne’s counties in Maryland to First National Bank.
The president and CEO of F.N.B., Vincent J. Delie Jr., made the announcement Monday. First National Bank has more than 250 banking offices across Pennsylvania, in eastern Ohio and the panhandle of West Virginia.
State Awards $388K for Geneva Site Cleanup
