"Tri-State 1st Banc Nets $209,104 for Second Quarter"
Tuesday, August 03, 2004"EAST LIVERPOOL, Ohio -- Tri-State 1st Banc Inc., parent company of 1st National Community Bank and Gateminder Corp., reports net income for the second quarter ended June 30 of $209,104, or 23 cents per diluted share. This is an increase of 15.9% from $180,483, or 20 cents per share, for the second quarter of 2003. The increase in the net income was primarily the result of a 14.1% drop in total interest expense and a 17.3% increase in other operating income.

BBB Warns of Scam Artists
Tuesday, August 03, 2004ARLINGTON, Va. -- The Better Business Bureau system has issued a national alert to warn consumers and businesses about two questionable operations that are falsely using the BBB name to trick victims. One business is perpetrating an advance fee loan scam that targets consumers and businesses with poor credit records. It has provided as a reference fictitious BBB phone numbers that are answered by representatives who falsely claim to be with the Better Business Bureau and provide a positive report on the business in question.

Cedar Fair Reports Net Revenues of $145 Million
Tuesday, August 03, 2004SANDUSKY, Ohio -- Cedar Fair L.P., a publicly traded partnership which owns and operates seven amusement parks and five water parks including Cedar Point and Geauga Lake, reports net revenues of $145 million for the quarter ended June 27. The results are down from $145.2 million for the 2003 quarter and represent a 1% decrease in combined attendance and a 2% increase in average in-park guest per capita spending.Over the year-to-year period, out-of-park revenues, including resort hotels, decreased 4%.
Cuno Completes Acquisition of WTC Industries

The transaction was completed following the approval by a majority of WTC's shareholders at a special meeting July 29.Under the terms of the transaction, Cuno will pay WTC's stockholders $39.87 in cash for each WTC share outstanding. WTC option and warrant holders will receive a cash payment based on the difference between $39.87 per share and the exercise price of their options and warrants.
