OEPA Hearing Nov. 18 on Proposed Gas Pipeline
Tuesday, November 11, 2014STEUBENVILLE, Ohio -- The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency will hold a public meeting at 6 p.m. Nov. 18 in the public library here on how a pipeline sought by Texas Eastern Transmission LLP might affect water quality in five counties including Columbiana County, the agency announced Monday.
Texas Eastern proposes to build a 75.8-mile pipeline and 75-foot construction right-of-way in five eastern Ohio through Hanover, Franking and Washington townships in Columbiana County.

October New Vehicle Sales Improve 7.3% Over Year
Monday, November 10, 2014YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- New car and truck sales in the Mahoning Valley rose 7.3% in October compared to the same month a year ago, the Automobile Dealers Association of Eastern Ohio's latest data reports.
The monthly report shows dealerships in Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties sold 2,471 new cars and trucks in October. Dealerships sold 2,302 vehicles in October 2013.
HMHP Becomes Mercy; Affiliates Adopt New Names

HMHP announced this morning that it would change its name to Mercy Health, which Catholic Health Partners, HMHP’s parent, adopted this summer. At that time, it was determined that all CHP partners would eventually mirror that name change.
Industrial Park to Target GM Lordstown Suppliers
Monday, November 10, 2014LORDSTOWN, Ohio – Mayor Arno Hill expects a deal to close within the next month for a Kansas City-based developer to acquire 173 acres near the General Motors Corp. Complex for a proposed industrial park.
NorthPoint Development is finalizing the acquisition from the Revitalizing Auto Communities Environmental Response Trust, or RACER, theentity created to oversee the sale and development of properties owned by the former Gneral Motors Corp. prior to its 2009 bankruptcy.

YSU's Penguin Review to Mark 50th Anniversary
Monday, November 10, 2014YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- Penguin Review, Youngstown State University's student-run print magazine, will celebrate its 50th anniversary with a commemorative edition and a launch party Nov. 20. Penguin Review was created in 1964 to give YSU students an opportunity to share their talents with a wider audience.
Since the launch, more than 1,500 students have published poetry, art, fiction, screenplays and creative non-fiction in the Review. The magazine, which is released annually, has gone through many changes through the years.
Eldorado Resorts Reports Net Loss of $4.1M for Q3
Sunday, November 09, 2014RENO, Nev. -- Net operating revenues for Eldorado Resorts Inc. for the third quarter were $78.9 million, an increase of 24% from the year-ago period, the company reported Thursday. Results include 12 days of operation at the former MTR Gaming Group's Mountaineer Casino, Racetrack & Resort in Chester, W.Va.
The merger of Eldorado Resorts and MTR Gaming was completed in mid-September.
