Kensington Plant's 'Trains' Prepare to Leave Station
Wednesday, November 06, 2013KENSINGTON, Ohio -- The second tower at the Utica East Ohio Buckeye's cryogenic processing plant here is expected to come online in about a month, and construction crews will work through the winter to get the third tower operational by spring, company officials said Tuesday.
Halcón Reports Operating Results from Kibler Well
Tuesday, November 05, 2013YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- Halcón Resources Corp. released its third quarter financial results Monday along with an update of he company’s oil and gas exploration in the Utica shale play, specifically production at its Kibler 1H well in Lordstown.
After selected adjustments, the Houston-based company said it earned net income for the third quarter of $18.1 million, or 4 cents a share, compared to a loss of $900,000 in the third quarter of 2012.
NiSource Donates $40K for Emergency Responders
Monday, November 04, 2013NEW MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- NiSource Midstream Services, through its NiSource Charitable Foundation, has donated $40,000 to Springfield Township to fund emergency responder services throughout the township. The donation was jointly announced this morning by NiSource and the township.
“The health and safety of the people of Springfield Township, as well as our first responders, is of the utmost important to us, and this donation will enable us to enhance the services we’re able to provide to the community,” said township Trustee Robert Orr.
OEPA Director to Tour UEO's Kensington Plant
Monday, November 04, 2013KENSINGTON, Ohio – Scott Nally, director of the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency, is scheduled to tour the Utica East Ohio Buckeye cryogenic processing plant here tomorrow. He will join company officials and Columbiana County commissioners for the tour, according to a media advisory.
‘The Frackers’ Digs Deep on ‘New Billionaire Wildcatters’
Monday, November 04, 2013YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- A new book by Wall Street Journal reporter Gregory Zuckerman profiles shale industry pioneers such as Aubrey McClendon, one of the “new billionaire wildcatters,” according to the book’s subtitle.
The book was reviewed Sunday in The Oklahoman and Saturday in The New York Times.
McClendon, the former CEO of Chesapeake Energy Corp., is again active in the unconventional oil and gas industry, raising some $1.7 billion to fund exploration by his new company, American Energy Partners LP.
