KENSINGTON, Ohio – Scott Nally, director of the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency, is scheduled to tour the Utica East Ohio Buckeye cryogenic processing plant here tomorrow. He will join company officials and Columbiana County commissioners for the tour, according to a media advisory.
UEO Buckeye’s Kensington plant processes natural gas and natural gas liquids in the liquids-rich Utica Shale play. So far, the plant is processing 200 million cubic feet of natural gas per day. The Kensington complex is undergoing a large-scale, multiphase expansion that will triple its processing capacity.
Last week, Gov. John Kasich participated in a symbolic “valve-turning” ceremony at UEO Buckeye’s Scio fractionation plant, where company officials disclosed they were preparing for a fourth plant at the Kensington site. Earlier that day, Kasich attended a dedication ceremony for Pennant Midstream’s new Hickory Bend processing plant in New Middletown.
