McClendon Company Secures More Permits
Thursday, May 22, 2014YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- American Energy Utica LLC, a subsidiary of Oklahoma City-based American Energy Partners LP, secured five new permits to drill in the southern tier of eastern Ohio's Utica shale last week, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.
The company, owned by former Chesapeake Energy CEO Aubrey McClendon, landed five permits May 12 for horizontal wells in Harrison County, Nottingham Township, ODNR reports.
McClendon Gets 7 Permits for Utica's Southern Tier
Wednesday, May 14, 2014YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – American Energy Utica LLC last week secured seven permits from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources to drill in the southern tier of the Utica shale as the company, led by former Chesapeake Energy CEO Aubrey McClendon, raises its profile in eastern Ohio.
American Energy, which recently secured a contract with the Utica East Ohio Buckeye system to process natural gas liquids drawn from its wells, obtained permits for four horizontal wells in Harrison County and for three horizontal wells in Guernsey County, according to ODNR.
McClendon Company Fuels Expansion at UEO Buckeye
Monday, May 12, 2014OKLAHOMA CITY -- Access Midstream Partners LP says new commitments from existing customers and a new contract with American Energy-Utica LLC is expected to increase its UEO Buckeye processing system's "through-put" by 70%.
UEO Buckeye is a partnership between Access, M3 Midstream and EV Energy Partners and consists of a $900 million pipeline and processing network that runs from southern Columbiana County nto Harrison County. The system includes a cryogenic plant in Kensington, Columbiana County.

The event, in Williamson Hall, will begin at 6 p.m. with a panel on the shale industry followed by a reception at 7:15 p.m. Topics will include economic opportunities that exploration of shale resources are creating in Ohio, the economic effects along the supply chain, as well as job opportunities arising from the oil and gas development in Ohio’s Utica and Marcellus Shale formations.
