Closed Shale Forum for Business Attracts Protesters
Thursday, May 31, 2012YANKEE LAKE, Ohio – As some 200 business leaders and public officials filed into the Yankee Lake ballroom here, two protesters attempted to enter the by-invitation-only forum, refused to leave, were arrested for trespassing and were taken away in handcuffs by the Brookfield Police Department.
At this hour, five protestors are gathered on public property a short distance from the venue.
Among others turned away from the forum were two landowners who left peacefully, saying they were surprised entry was denied.

The sale includes two cryogenic gas processing plants in Butler County, Pa. -- the Sarsen Plant and the newly commissioned Bluestone Plant, with a combined 90 MMcf/d of capacity.
Columbiana's Sanor Well Awaits Pipeline Infrastructure
Tuesday, May 29, 2012KNOX Township, Ohio -- For weeks, there was little sign of activity at the well newly drilled on the Sanor farm along North Georgetown Road in Columbiana County. Then, in March, a convoy of trucks appeared and, for about a week, lined the two-lane road in Knox Township.
“This whole road was filled with trucks,” says Milton Starkey, whose house borders the Sanor property and the well. “It was packed for about a week, and it’s been pretty steady ever since.”
