Aither Chemicals Gauges Market for $750M Cracker

Chesapeake Gets 3 More Permits for Columbiana
Friday, June 22, 2012YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Ohio Department of Natural Resources issued three horizontal well permits to Chesapeake Exploration last week to horizontally drill in three Columbiana County townships.
Another three permits were issued across the state to drill into the Utica shale.
In Columbiana County, ODNR issued Chesapeake permits to drill on the Wallace property in Salem Township, on the Riffle property in Elkrun Township, and on the Jan Paul Farms property in Hanover Township.
'Fracktivists' Lobby Youngstown Council for Ban
Thursday, June 21, 2012YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- Three “fracktivists” spoke before City Council Wednesday evening in attempts to persuade council members to pass an ordinance banning hydraulic fracturing in Youngstown and in the Meander and Mill Creek watersheds.
“We the people are calling on the Youngstown City Council to protect the health, safety and welfare of this community,” said Julia Fuhrman Davis.
Westminster Hosting Shale Water Quality Workshop
Tuesday, June 19, 2012NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. -- The Westminster College Field Station will host a Marcellus shale water quality workshop June 30 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The workshop is presented by the Alliance for Aquatic Resource Monitoring, a nationally-recognized technical support center for communities interested in monitoring the quality of their waterways.
The event is organized by the Fracking Truth Alliance of Lawrence and Mercer Counties with assistance from Westminster's Sustainability in Motion program.
