National Bancshares Reports Record Net Income in 2013
Friday, January 17, 2014ORRVILLE, Ohio -- National Bancshares Corp., holding company of First National Bank of Orrville, reports fourth-quarter net income of $1.108 million, or 49 cents per diluted share, and full-year net income of $4.115 million, or $1.84 per diluted share.
This compares to $937,000 for the fourth quarter of 2012, or 42 cents a share, and full year 2012, when net income reported was $2.811 million, or $1.27 per share.
Wellsville Chamber to Hold Trade Show March 20
Friday, January 17, 2014WELLSVILLE, Ohio -- The fourth annual trade show hosted by the Wellsville Area Chamber of Commerce is set for March 20 in the Wellsville High School gymnasium. The event will take place from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Last year, more than 65 vendors participated, and the hope is to increase that number this year. Some 350 people from the general public attended the show, Erin Roberts said. Roberts and Brandon Russell are co-chairmen of the show.

AT&T Looks to Hire 300 More Veterans in Ohio
Friday, January 17, 2014COLUMBUS, Ohio -- AT&T is seeking applicants to fill some 300 jobs in Ohio, including positions in Youngstown, Akron and Cleveland, Adam Grzybicki, president of AT&T Ohio, announced Thursday. The positions will be in customer service, retail and technician positions.
In the first 10 months of 2013, AT&T hired nearly 840 Ohioans to meet continued growth of wireless and broadband services in the state, the company said.
US Chamber, Goodwill Join Forces to Help Vets

Obama Cites NAMII as Model for North Carolina Hub
Thursday, January 16, 2014YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- Calling the creation of the National Additive Manufacturing Innovation Institute here “a great start,” President Obama Wednesday announced the establishment of a second manufacturing hub, this one focused on power electronics and led by North Carolina State University in Raleigh, N.C.
The new hub is the first created since NAMII, branded as America Makes, was established in 2012. The president noted NAMII in his 2013 State of the Union Address, when he announced the creation of three more such centers.
Council OKs Incentives for VAM Threading Mill
Thursday, January 16, 2014YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- City Council voted unanimously last night to approved an incentive package for VAM USA that would enable the division of Vallourec Star to invest $81.5 million to open a threading mill at the Ohio Works Industrial Park.
The incentives include a 75%, 10-year abatement on property taxes at the proposed site, the former Genmak building at 1053 Ohio Works Drive, which VAM purchased in September for $2.5 million.
McNally Helps Home Savings Begin 125th Anniversary
