Farmers Banc Corp. Reports 2013 Net Income of $7.78M
Thursday, January 30, 2014CANFIELD, Ohio -- Farmers National Banc Corp. Wednesday reported fourth-quarter net income of $2.30 million, or 12 cents per common share, and net income for all of 2013 of $7.78 million, or 41 cents per share.
Fourth-quarter figures compare to $1.61 million in net income for the quarter ended Sept. 30, or nine cents a share, and $2.64 million for the quarter ended Dec. 31, 2012, or 14 cents a share.

Hess Sells Acreage in Utica's Dry Gas Window
Thursday, January 30, 2014NEW YORK -- Hess Corp. has agreed to sell 74,000 acres of its dry gas acreage in the Utica Shale to an undisclosed third party for $924 million in cash and instead concentrate capital investment in its liquids-based asset portfolio.
According to various news organizations, which all quote The Wall Street Journal, the buyer is American Energy Partners LP, the company formed last year by Aubrey McClendon, the former CEO of Chesapeake Energy. McClendon’s company reportedly has declined comment.
Enrollment Drops 5.9% at Kent State Trumbull Campus
Thursday, January 30, 2014CHAMPION TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- Enrollment for the spring 2014 semester at Kent State University at Trumbull stands at 2,957 students, a decrease of 184 students from the spring 2013 semester.
The 5.9% drop halts a run of three straight spring semester enrollment increases, including the 2012 figure of 3,255, which represented Kent State Trumbull’s all-time enrollment high.
