Port Authority to Consider Route for Daily Service
Monday, October 13, 2014VIENNA TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- The Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport could soon announce connecting daily service to a Midwestern hub.
The airport’s director of aviation, Dan Dickten, will ask the board of directors of the Western Reserve Port Authority, which operates the airport, to pass a motion approving “the proposed discussed airline route and Midwest major airline connecting hub service destination.”

Businesses Led by Women Confident about Economy
Monday, October 13, 2014NEW YORK -- Women who lead sizeable businesses are far more confident about the health and outlook of the economy than their male counterparts, finds the 2014 Business Outlook Survey conducted by the Women Presidents' Organization.
Just 8% of its members said they believe economic conditions are the biggest threat to increasing their profits, a drop from 50% in last year's findings,
SBA Opens Online Portal for 2015 Awards
Monday, October 13, 2014CLEVELAND -- The online portal of the district office of the U.S. Small Business Administration is accepting nominations for its 2015 National Small Business Week Awards, including Small-Business Person of the Year.
This is the third year the SBA is accepting nominations through its online portal.
All nominations must be submitted online, postmarked or hand-delivered to the SBA no later than 3 p.m. EST Jan. 5. Nominations can be sent directly to the district Office, 1350 Euclid Ave., Suite 211 Cleveland, Ohio 44115.

Pa. Awards Grant for $5.6M Training Center in Sharon

Tom Corbett announced a $2.6 million Economic Growth Initiative Grant Thursday to fund the establishment of a learning center focused on industry-specific job training for unemployed and underemployed adults in the health-care industry, as well as cultural and learning opportunities for teenage youth in public schools in the Sharon area.
