Workers More Worried about Pay, Perks, Prospects
Friday, May 03, 2013NEW YORK -- American workers are increasingly worried about their incomes and benefits security as well as their employability. More than half (55%) expect to do more work without getting more money in the next three months, a new Harris poll finds.
Aggregated concerns regarding these issues show a slight increase since last month (from 56% in March to 57% in April), the poll finds. This combined measure shows a strong and increasing concern, particularly among older and higher-income workers, while individual concerns show more dramatic month-to-month shifts among all workers.

Chesapeake to 'Significantly' Increase Utica Production

"We've reduced cycle times there and our efficiencies are improving," Steve C. Dixon said Wednesday during a conference call to discuss his company's first-quarter earnings. "With the pace we're on, we'll meet those objectives and significantly grow production in the last half of this year."
Penn National Remobilizes Work Crews at Racino Site

Legislation Introduced to Ban Ohio Disposal Wells
Thursday, May 02, 2013YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- Legislation introduced Wednesday in the Ohio General Assembly seeks to ban all new injection wells across the state that accept drilling wastewater, a prospect that one sponsor says is gaining some traction. "We're the dumping ground because our rules are so lax," said state Rep. Robert F. Hagan, D-Youngstown, who co-sponsored the bill along with Denise Driehaus, D-Cincinnati, in the House of Representatives.
A similar bill was introduced in the Senate by state Sen. Mike Skindell, D-Cleveland.
Cruze Sales Up 21% as Domestic Industry Gains
Thursday, May 02, 2013YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Sales of the Lordstown-built Chevrolet Cruze rose 21% during April compared to the same period a year earlier, driving General Motors Co. to an 11% gain for the month, the company reported Wednesday.
GM reported it sold 237,646 new vehicles during the month. Cruze sales stood at 22,032, making it the second-best selling new vehicle in GM's lineup, second to the Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck, which posted 39,395 deliveries in April.
