Lamberson Receives AIA's Eastern Ohio Gold Medal
Monday, December 08, 2014YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- The Eastern Ohio Chapter of the American Institute of Architects recently presented Rodney Lamberson, an architect with Strollo Architects, with the AIA Eastern Ohio Gold Medal.
The recognition is presented to chapter members who have, over an extended period, provided outstanding service to the chapter, the profession and community.
Lamberson is a founding member of the American College of Healthcare Architects and is a member of the Academy of Architecture for Healthcare as well as AIA Eastern Ohio.

Third Quarter Utica Well Production Is Up 49%
Friday, December 05, 2014YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- Production from horizontal oil and gas wells across the state was 49% higher during the third quarter compared to the second quarter, according to a newly released report from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.
Horizontal shale wells in Ohio produced three million barrels of oil and 132 billion cubic feet of natural gas during the three months ended Sept. 30, ODNR said.
By comparison, during the second quarter, Utica wells produced 2.4 million barrels of oil and 88.6 billion cubic feet of natural gas.

Regional Chamber Reports Jobs, Investment Numbers
Friday, December 05, 2014YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- The Youngstown Warren Regional Chamber reports it’s worked on economic development projects through the third quarter 2014 that resulted in the creation of 479 jobs and the retention of 450 jobs.
The total investment of these completed projects, according to the chamber, is $121.1 million with the new annual payroll to be generated estimated at nearly $24.7 million.
The year-to-date numbers are reported in the chamber’s economic development newsletter dated November 2014.
