Lamberson Receives AIA's Eastern Ohio Gold Medal
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- The Eastern Ohio Chapter of the American Institute of Architects recently presented Rodney Lamberson, an architect with Strollo Architects, with the AIA Eastern Ohio Gold Medal.
The recognition is presented to chapter members who have, over an extended period, provided outstanding service to the chapter, the profession and community.
Lamberson is a founding member of the American College of Healthcare Architects and is a member of the Academy of Architecture for Healthcare as well as AIA Eastern Ohio.
His work has focused principally on health-care projects such as:
- Joanie Abdu Comprehensive Breast Care Center.
- Partners for Urology Health.
- St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center.
- Hospice of the Valley.
- Regional Referral Cancer Care Center.
Lamberson has also worked as the team leader for other notable projects such as:
- Williamson College of Business Administration.
- Andrews Recreation and Wellness Center, Youngstown State University.
- Morley Center for the Arts, Mill Creek Metroparks.
In addition, Lamberson’s community involvement includes participation with Wick Neighbors as well as the Youngstown Central Planning District. He has also been involved with Opera Western Reserve, Ballet Western Reserve, the Arts Council of Youngstown and Mahoning County, the American Red Cross and the American Cancer Society.
