RG, Arcelor Battle Today Over Easements, Option
Thursday, August 23, 2012WARREN, Ohio – Lawyers are squaring off today in Wilmington, Del., armed with stacks of legal arguments as bankrupt RG Steel and Arcelor Mittal wage a last-minute fight over property easement rights and a purchase option for the boiler and power house adjacent to RG’s hot roll mill on Pine Avenue S.E.
ArcelorMittal owns the coke plant next to RG Warren, and employs 135 steelworkers at the site. Pursuant to an asset purchase agreement signed in 1988 with LTV Steel, which then owned the steel plant, ArcelorMittal retained easement and purchase rights for the boiler and power house.
Hilcorp Gets First Drilling Permit for Columbiana
Thursday, August 23, 2012YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Ohio Department of Natural Resources has issued a new horizontal drilling permit to Houston-based Hilcorp Energy Co. to begin oil and gas exploration in Columbiana County.
Hilcorp, a privately owned oil and gas exploration company, was issued a permit Aug. 13 to drill on the Hanover-Mountz property in Hanover Township, records show. It is the 49th well permitted in Columbiana County since 2011, and is the first such well for Hilcorp in the county.
DRS Upgrades Its Cloud Infrastructure
