Surgical Hospital at Southwoods Launches New Website
Tuesday, April 22, 2014BOARDMAN, Ohio -- The Surgical Hospital at Southwoods has launched a new, patient-focused website. The site contains detailed information about the health-care services provided on its main campus as well as ancillary services provided at its satellite locations.
“Everything we do at Southwoods is centered around the needs of our patients and this website is no exception,” said Ed Muransky, Southwoods’ CEO.

Seeing the multitude of tubes and wires hanging to her, he leaned over and told her she looked like the back of his stereo.
“It was so goofy and ridiculous, it made me laugh out loud,” she recalls. “So even though I was in the middle of all that pain, I laughed and I felt good for that second. I felt I’ll be OK.”
ACH Launches Public Phase of $18 Million Campaign
Friday, April 11, 2014BOARDMAN, Ohio -- Akron Children’s Hospital Mahoning Valley is launching the public phase of its multi-year campaign, Building on the Promise: A Vision for Our Valley’s Children. The goal is to raise $18 million in philanthropic support to finance strategic growth and expansion in the Mahoning Valley.
The quiet phase of the campaign, which began last year, has raised nearly $6 million in gifts and commitments, says Bruce Beeghly, co-chairman the Vision leadership committee. The other co-chairmen are his wife, Nancy, and Paul and Sallie Tod Dutton.
