CHS Finalizes Purchase of Sharon Health System
Wednesday, April 02, 2014SHARON, Pa. -- Community Health Systems Inc. completed its purchase of substantially all of the assets of Sharon Regional Health System, the companies jointly announced late Tuesday.
Sharon Regional Health System, which operates a 251-bed hospital and 23 satellite centers in Mercer and counties, announced plans last August to affiliate with CHS, which operates ValleyCare Health System Inc. of Ohio. The sale follows approval by regulatory agencies.

Massage Café Downtown opened in the basement level of the Peggy Ann Building, says Gina DeAngelo, who owns both the original Massage Café in Canfield and the new downtown site. The new store is below the Friends Roastery operating on the ground-floor level.

Since the law became available in October, about five million people across the country and some 150,000 Ohioans have acquired health insurance coverage under the new program, reports U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio.
