Avalon Holdings Reports Income of $100,000
Tuesday, November 18, 2014WARREN, Ohio -- Avalon Holdings Corp. reports third-quarter net operating revenues of $14.4 million compared with $16.4 million in the third quarter of 2013.
The company recorded net income of $100,000, or 3 cents per share for the third quarter compared with net income of $400,0, or 11 cents per share in the 2013 quarter.
Friendly's Restaurant in Poland Closes
Tuesday, November 18, 2014POLAND, Ohio -- Friendly’s restaurant at 3 W. McKinley Way here served its last customers Sunday and officially closed its doors midday Monday, confirms the store’s manager.
No advance notice was given employees or the public. Additional details were unavailable and a reporter was referred to a corporate public affairs office in Wilbraham, Mass.
Chamber Seeking Applicants for Leadership Academy
Monday, November 17, 2014YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Applications are being accepted for the eighth year of the Mahoning Valley Local Government Leadership Academy. The 2015 edition of the event will run Tuesdays Jan. 27 through March 24.
More than 160 Mahoning Valley residents have graduated from the academy since its founding. The nine-week series is offered to help people become effective government leaders. It also provides class members a broad perspective on how local government operations should be conducted.
Costs Will Go Up for Private Mail Processors
