Pa. Table Games Revenues Jump 14% in November
Tuesday, December 17, 2013HARRISBURG, Pa. -- Revenue from table games played at the 12 casinos in Pennsylvania was $63.7 million in November, the state Gaming Control Board announced Monday. It is the second-largest monthly table games revenue collected, trailing only the $67.4 million collected in March.
The November figure represents a 14.1% increase in revenue from table games played compared to November 2012, says the Gaming Control Board.
McNally to Retain 3, Bozanich to Step Down
Monday, December 16, 2013YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- Mayor-elect John A. McNally announced today that Fire Chief John O’Neill, Water Commissioner Harry Johnson, Building and Grounds Commissioner Sean McKinney will be retained to serve their current posts in his administration. “I am confident they will provide a seamless transition and implement changes and policies I have planned for the city," McNally said in a statement. "I look forward to working with them.”
O’Neill has served as fire chief since January 1998 and has been in the fire department since 1995.
Ryan, Johnson, Kelly Vote Yes on Budget Compromise
Friday, December 13, 2013YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Three area congressmen, two Republicans and one Democrat, all voted in favor of the Bipartisan Budget Act of 2013 that last night passed the House of Representatives by a vote of 332 to 94. And while all three found reasons to be pleased with the bipartisan compromise, each also found the measure lacking in terms of their political perspectives.
Reps. Bill Johnson, R-6 Ohio, Mike Kelly, R-3 Pa., and Tim Ryan, D-13 Ohio, issued prepared statements shortly after the budget deal passed.
