Tuesday, November 18, 2014WASHINGTON -- When Americans hit the road this year for Thanksgiving family gatherings, 31% will travel more than 500 miles, says a survey by GasBuddy.com released Monday. Another 31% will travel between 200 and 500 miles.
This year, 92% will drive compared with 6.5% who fly. While Americans are spending on travel, 71% of survey respondents expect to spend less on Thanksgiving this year.

Chamber Seeking Applicants for Leadership Academy
Monday, November 17, 2014YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Applications are being accepted for the eighth year of the Mahoning Valley Local Government Leadership Academy. The 2015 edition of the event will run Tuesdays Jan. 27 through March 24.
More than 160 Mahoning Valley residents have graduated from the academy since its founding. The nine-week series is offered to help people become effective government leaders. It also provides class members a broad perspective on how local government operations should be conducted.
Things Remembered Center Holding Hiring Events Today
