IGS Energy to Build Valley's First CNG Fueling Station
Tuesday, June 04, 2013YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- IGS Energy CNG Services plans to build and operate a new compressed natural gas fueling station in Girard, the first of its kind in the Mahoning Valley, the company announced today.
IGS Energy, based in Dublin, Ohio, said that the new station would be located at the Mr. Fuel truck stop at 2840 Salt Springs Road, just off the Interstate 80 interchange.

MarkWest Expands Its Utica Infrastructure
Saturday, June 01, 2013DENVER -- Buoyed by strong production reports from its customers in southeastern Ohio, MarkWest Utica EMG LLC, a joint venture between MarkWest Energy Partners L.P. and the Energy and Minerals Group, plans to expand its midstream infrastructure in the eastern Ohio portion of the Utica shale play, the company reports.
The expansion calls for adding another 200 million cubic feet of processing capacity at MarkWest Utica's Seneca processing complex in Noble County.
Chesapeake Unloads Leases in Columbiana to Hilcorp
Friday, May 31, 2013LISBON, Ohio -- Chesapeake Energy Corp., the largest leaseholder in the Utica shale and the first major energy company to recognize the potential of the play, has ceded its rights to future drilling in portions of Columbiana County, records show.
Documents obtained from the Columbiana County recorder’s office show that Chesapeake has assigned nearly 1,100 leases in six townships to Hilcorp Energy Co., a competitor that is accelerating exploration and production in southern Mahoning County, western Pennsylvania and northern Columbiana County.
