Independent Review Commends Pa. Oil and Gas Program
Monday, September 30, 2013HARRISBURG, Pa. -- An independent peer review of The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection's Office of Oil and Gas Management has determined that the department is proficient and ready to address the increase in oil and gas operations in Pennsylvania, the office announces.
A nonprofit, multi-stakeholder organization called State Review of Oil and Natural Gas Environmental Regulations Inc. conducted the review.
Chamber Urges Defeat of Anti-Fracking Amendment
Friday, September 27, 2013YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber Board of Directors has given its support the Mahoning Valley Coalition for Job Growth and Investment’s efforts to defeat another anti-oil-and-gas charter amendment in Youngstown.
Last May, the coalition worked to defeat a similar measure on the city ballot.
The board’s resolution backs the coalition’s opposition to the anti-fracking amendment on the November ballot, saying the so-called Community Bill of Rights is a bad idea, said Tom Humphries, chamber president and CEO.
