November Wagers Total $66.9M at Austintown Racino
Tuesday, December 09, 2014AUSTINTOWN, Ohio -- Wagers made on video lottery terminals in the Hollywood Gaming at Mahoning Valley Race Course in November were down substantially from the month before, the latest monthly report from the Ohio Lottery Commission shows.
Cash and credits bet in the racino were $66.9 million, down from $79.8 million in October, its first full month of operation since it opened Sept. 17.

Steel Import Permit Applications Drop 12%
Monday, December 08, 2014WASHINGTON -- Applications for permits to import steel during November totaled 3,938,000 net tons, a 12% decrease from the 4,482,000 permit tons in October and a 10% decrease from the October preliminary imports total of 4,398,000 net tons, the American Iron and Steel Institute reports.
Employee Confidence Level Rises in November
Friday, December 05, 2014ATLANTA -- For the third consecutive month, employee confidence rose in November, according to the Randstad U.S. Employee Confidence Index. Some 37% of workers believe the economy is gaining strength compared to 29% who feel it is weakening.
The Randstad Index, which tracks American workers' monthly perspectives about their jobs and the economy, rose 0.5 point to 58.7 from 58.2 in October.
