Northside Hospital Says Strike Doesn't Impact Care
Tuesday, September 24, 2013YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- As pickets march outside Northside Medical Center, staging a one-day strike to protest what leaders of the Ohio Nurses Association calls "unfair labor practices" in negotiations to reach a new contract, the hospital says it "is continuing to provide high-quality care for its patients today. ...ll inpatient, outpatient and emergency services are available and all surgeries and diagnostic procedures are taking place as scheduled."
Northside Medical Center issued a statement about one hour after the picketing began.
