YSU Theater Marks 50 Years with Special Performances
Friday, November 01, 2013YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- The Youngstown State University Theater will present its next performance, “Celebrating 50 Years of University Theater: A Musical Commemoration” at 7:30 p.m. next Friday in Ford Theater. This show is a celebration of theater with a look back at many of the more than 200 productions the theater has produced over the last half century.
Directed by musical theater instructor Nancy Andersen Wolfgang, the production consists of 34 scenes and songs deemed to best reflect the best of what the YSU Department of Theater and Dance has produced over the last 50 years.
Stoneridge Reports 3Q Net Income of $5 Million
Friday, November 01, 2013WARREN, Ohio -- Stoneridge Inc. reports third-quarter net income of $5 million, or 19 cents per diluted share. This compares with net income of $400,000, or two cents per diluted share, for the third quarter of 2012.
The increase was attributed to higher sales compared with the same period in 2012.
Third-quarter net sales were $233.5 million, an increase of 6.5%, compared with $219.3 million in 2012. The increase was primarily the result of higher sales in the company's control devices and electronics business segments.

CHS Reports 3Q Results, Status of DOJ Investigation
Thursday, October 31, 2013FRANKLIN, Tenn. – Net operating revenues for Community Health Systems Inc. rose modestly during the third quarter from the same period a year earlier, the company reported.
CHS also announced, in a news release issued following the close of financial markets Wednesday, it is in negotiations with the U.S. Justice Department to resolve claims in connection with DOJ’s investigation into the company’s short-stay hospital admissions for the years 2005-2010, as well as its investigation at a hospital in Laredo, Texas.
Huntington Bank Remains 3rd in US in SBA Lending
Thursday, October 31, 2013COLUMBUS, Ohio -- For the third year in a row, Huntington National Bank ranks as the nation’s third-largest provider of Small Business Administration 7(a) loans, the bank announced Wednesday.
In the United States fiscal 2013 (ended Sept. 30), Huntington increased its number of such loans 20%, the bank said, to 3,062 totaling $465 million, almost all of them in its Midwest footprint that consists of Ohio, western Pennsylvania, the West Virginia panhandle, Michigan, northern Kentucky and Indiana.
