Chuck Eddy Nominated for Time Dealer of Year
Monday, October 28, 2013YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- Chuck Eddy, operator of Bob and Chuck Eddy Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Austintown, has been nominated for the 2014 Time Dealer of the Year award. The nomination was announced Friday by the Automobile Dealers Association of Eastern Ohio.
Eddy will join a select group of dealers from across the country who will be recognized Jan. 25 at the 97th annual convention of the National Automobile Dealers Association in New Orleans.
Centers for Hearing Care Offer Hearing Aids to Needy
Monday, October 28, 2013BOARDMAN, Ohio -- The second annual hearing mission of Centers for Hearing Care is set for Dec. 18 at the corporate office here. The mission is designed to give 25 people with impaired hearing and in critical financial need free brand-new hearing aids, says the owner, Dr. Sheryl Figliano.
Last year, 22 local people received free hearing aids.
In addition to being fitted with hearing aids, recipients will receive audio testing, a year’s supply of batteries and instruction on how to care for their new devices.
New Vehicle Sales Expected to Jump 12%
Monday, October 28, 2013IRVINE, Calif. -- Sales of new vehicles are expected to improve 11.7% this month to 1.22 million units, say the editors of Keley Blue Book. This follows the first year-over-year decline in 27 months in September.
Helping sales, this October has one more selling day than last year, and in 2012, numbers were heavily affected by Hurricane Sandy's impact on the East Coast, says Kelley Blue Book.
Barring another economic setback, industry sales remain on track to reach about 15.6 million units this year.

Tom O'Dear, vice president of Frullati, will fly in from Phoenix to join the opening. Maher Alex Shalash, who operates a Frullati Cafe in the Southern Park Mall in Boardman, will be present as well.
