Slippery Rock Shareholders Say Yes to Merger With F.N.B.
Tuesday, September 14, 2004GROVE CITY, Pa. -- Sharholders of Slippery Rock Financial Corp. have voted overwhelmingly to approve the previously announced merger with F.N.B. Corp. of Hermitage, Pa. More than 100 shareholders attended the special meeting yesterday at the Grove City Country Club, according to a news release from F.N.B."We are pleased that the shareholders of Slippery Rock Financial Corporation have given this merger such a positive vote of confidence," said Stephen J. Gurgovits, president and chief executive officer of F.N.B. Corp.
Warren's Riverwalk Gets Balance of Federal Funding

The 0.3% drop was 0.1% more than Wall Street analysts projected, but sales excluding autos met expectations,according to the Reuters News Service.July sales figures were revised to show a healthier economy than the Commerce Department first reported.

YSU Enrollment Hits Nine-Year High; Headcount Tops 13,000"
Monday, September 13, 2004YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- Enrollment at Youngstown State University is at its highest level in nine years and above 13,000 for the first time since 1995. The university recorded 13,101 students on campus this fall semester, according to official enrollment numbers released this morning.That's an increase of 243 students, or 1.9%,from last year, according to a YSU news release. It also marks the fourth consecutive fall semester enrollment increase, following more than a decade of decline.
