LLC, the general partner of Buckeye Partners L.P., has entered into definitive agreements to acquire five major refined petroleum products pipelines and 25 petroleum products terminals in the Midwestern United States from affiliates of Shell Oil Products U.S.
FOX News Channel Garners 55% of Cable News Audience
Wednesday, June 30, 2004NEW YORK -- Fox News Channel garnered more than 50% of the cable news audience in primetime and total day during the second quarter of this year, according to Nielsen Media Research cited by the Fox News Channel.In contrast, CNN and MSNBC both attracted less than a third of the same market share, stated a news release from Fox News Channel. In prime time, Fox News Channel commanded 55% of the cable news market share, averaging 1.4 million viewers, while CNN claimed 32% of that audience with 828,000 viewers.
11 Ohio Counties Don't Meet Health-Based Soot Standard
Wednesday, June 30, 2004CHICAGO -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has issued a list of 33 Ohio counties that it plans to name as not meeting the new, health-based outdoor air quality standard for fine particles (soot).On the list are the local counties of Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana.
National City Bank Branches Open July 5
Wednesday, June 30, 2004CLEVELAND -- All 1,146 branch offices of National City Bank will be open July 5, the day after Independence Day. All offices will observe normal business hours that day.Historically, banks have followed the lead of government organizations regarding holidays to be observed. Last year, as a result of feedback from customers, National City officials decided to keep offices open on Presidents' Day and Columbus Day.In addition to July 5, all branches will be open on Columbus Day, Oct. 11.National City Corp. is one of the nation's largest financial holding companies.
State Audit Seeks Recovery from Former Campbell Coach
Wednesday, June 30, 2004COLUMBUS, Ohio -- A state audit of the Campbell City School District contains findings for recovery of $7,645 against Mark Greene, the district's former varsity track coach, according to Auditor of State Betty Montgomery. The findings are part of the district's regular financial audit of the year ending June 30, 2003. Greene's contract with the district has not been renewed."Given the difficult financial times schools across the state are facing, we must be more diligent than ever to protect public funds," Montgomery said.

Sears to Acquire Stores from Kmart, Wal-Mart"
Wednesday, June 30, 2004HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill. -- Sears, Roebuck and Co. has agreed to acquire ownership or leasehold interest in up to 61 off-mall stores in key Sears markets from Kmart Holding Corp. and Wal-Mart Stores Inc. for approximately $620 million in cash.The majority of the stores are expected to be converted by fourth quarter 2005 to Sears nameplates, including a new mid-size format.Kmart will continue to operate the stores that are to be sold until March or April 2005.

Ohio Approves Tax Credits for Business Expansion
Wednesday, June 30, 2004COLUMBUS, Ohio -- BRT Extrusions Inc., to be located in Niles, Ohio, is among 14 projects to be approved for job creation tax credits by the Ohio Tax Credit Authority, reports Gov. Bob Taft. The expansion and location projects are expected to create 840 jobs and retain 2,403. BRT will receive a 60% tax credit for a five-year term to begin operations.
