Wednesday, May 05, 2004COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Wild turkey hunters killed 8,998 birds in the first seven days of the spring hunting season despite wet and cold conditions, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources Division of Wildlife.In the Mahoning Valley, Columbiana County hunters bagged the most birds at 232, followed by Trumbull County (197) and Mahoning County (109).

Wednesday, May 05, 2004WASHINGTON -- Newly released funds from the Federal Highway Administration designed help reduce congestion, enhance safety and improve traffic flow at key transportation projects in Ohio and Pennsylvania target a number of projects in the Mahoning Valley, according to U.S. Transportation Secretary Norman Y.
