Kent Trumbull Schedules Grant-Writing Workshops
Wednesday, March 06, 2013WARREN, Ohio -- The Kent State University at Trumbull Library and The Trumbull 100 will present a pair of grant writing classes at 8:30 a.m. March 21 and April 11. The classes are scheduled in room 117 of the Technology Building.
The first class, Foundation Fundraising: An Introductory Course, is set for Thursday, March 21. The second, First Steps to Proposal Development, will take place Thursday, April 11. Information in these workshops is directed at nonprofit organizations that qualify as 501(c)(3)s.

Those issues include the low number of seats -- 395 -- that would be available for patrons to watch live racing at the new thoroughbred track in comparison to the track it is replacing, and whether a sufficient number of horse stalls will be built.

Defendants in Dumping Case to Be Arraigned March 15

The three were indicted last week by a federal grand jury for violating the Clean Water Act after it was discovered Lupo ordered an employee to discharge tens of thousands of gallons of drilling wastewater into a storm drain that led to the Mahoning River.

EV Energy Partners Markets Mahoning Valley Acreage
Monday, March 04, 2013YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – EV Energy Partners LP is looking to sell nearly 104,000 leasehold acres it owns in the Utica shale, including assets in Mahoning and Trumbull counties.
EV Energy, a subsidiary of Houston-based EnerVest Ltd., wants to divest itself of 4,400 acres in Mahoning County as well as 12,300 acres in Trumbull County as part of 103,800 acres its trying to sell in the Utica shale.

Axiotis and Nick Liakaris purchased the building for $75,000 at auction in November 2011. Since then, the business partners, who own and operate the Mocha House restaurant at the edge of the central business district, have increased the occupancy of the 56,000-square-foot building to upward of 70% from 27%, Axiotis says.
